Within the education offered to PhD students of the Doctoral School in Archaeology, three meetings with Dr. Marco Arizza (National Research Council - ISPC and CID Ethics) are scheduled

15, 28-29 Aprile 2025

The course “Ethics and Cultural Heritage”, taught by Dr. Marco Arizza (CNR – ISPC, CID Ethics) in Museo delle Antichità Etrusche e Italiche), is part of the teaching activities of the Doctoral School in Archaeology at Sapienza University of Rome for the academic year 2024–2025.
The series of meetings addresses the main issues related to ethics in research and in the management of cultural heritage, exploring the methodological foundations of the discipline, the ethical questions that arise along the archaeological research process, and the responsibilities connected with the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge.
Given the cross-disciplinary nature of ethics, recognized as a qualifying element of academic education and research practice, the course is intended for second-year PhD candidates in Archaeology but is open to all interested participants.

The course is structured as follows:

15 April 2025 (16:00–19:00) – Methodological foundations and history of the discipline
