Educational workshop Computer Vision and Deep Learning for the Study and Classification of Archaeological Ceramics

As part of its educational offering for the academic year 2025-2026, the LAD, in collaboration with the Doctoral School of Archaeology and the School of Specialization in Archaeological Heritage at Sapienza University of Rome, is organizing a theoretical-practical educational workshop on the application of Computer Vision and Deep Learning methods for the study and classification of ceramics.

The workshop is open to anyone interested in learning more about the use of information technology and automation in data management.

The activities will be held in person at Sapienza University of Rome, in the LAD laboratory (Literature and Philosophy Building CU003, 3rd floor).

Three introductory lessons: March 12, 19, and 26, 2026
