The Director of the Department of Ancient Sciences, Prof. Francesca R. Stasolla, is pleased to invite you on January 15, 2026, 10 am. to the screening of a documentary film that traces the activities of Osama Hamdan, a Palestinian architect who trained in Italy and worked for many years in Palestine and Israel, most recently as director of the restoration project of the Holy Sepulchre until his sudden death in 2023. Osama consciously chose to promote cultural heritage as an opportunity for training, growth, knowledge, and opportunity for his people, working in a concrete and effective manner and leaving a legacy of projects.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Clara Borio, his wife, and Carla Benelli, his main collaborator. Both live and work in Jerusalem and the Cisjordan.
