Delivered study plan 2024/2025

The PhD Programme provides a structured three-year training pathway for researchers in translational oncology, precision medicine, and network medicine.

The training offer, articulated across the 40th, 39th, and 38th cycles, includes lectures, specialised seminars, transferable skills modules, and interdisciplinary laboratories delivered throughout the academic year.

For the 40th cycle (Year 1), welcome and programme presentation activities were organised, along with modules on transferable skills (workplace safety, research design, data management, and open science) and methodological introductions to big data, machine learning, and deep learning. These activities were complemented by training sessions covering the main scientific areas of the PhD programme, with particular focus on network medicine, immune biomarkers, and major solid tumours.

For the 39th cycle (Year 2) and the 38th cycle (Year 3), the programme included advanced seminars in precision oncology, meetings on regulatory aspects and clinical trials, opportunities for interaction with the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, and seminars delivered by international experts. Interdisciplinary laboratory sessions and mid-term retreat activities were also organised to discuss the progress of research projects and to foster collaborative skills.
