Steering Committee

The NoPEM PhD Programme Advisory Board is a consultative and proposal-making body responsible for ensuring that the doctoral program stays aligned with the scientific, technological, and social needs of both national and international contexts.

 

Specifically, the Advisory Board:

 

1. Contributes to defining and updating the educational and scientific objectives of the PhD program, suggesting priority research areas and key skills to develop;

 

2. Offers strategic guidance on developments within relevant scientific fields, promoting integration among basic research, translational research, and industrial or clinical applications;

 

3. Provides opinions on educational offerings (courses, seminars, professional activities) to enhance quality and ensure alignment with labor market and research community needs;

 

4. Fosters dialogue and collaboration between the PhD program and external entities (universities, research centers, companies, healthcare institutions, public agencies), including through agreements, joint projects, and training periods abroad or at other institutions;

 

5. Recommends possible career paths for PhD candidates and graduates, helping facilitate their transition into academic, clinical, industrial, or institutional environments;

 

6. Assists the PhD Faculty Board in monitoring the scientific, educational, and employment impact of the program, including analyzing graduates’ career trajectories.

 

The Advisory Board convenes periodically to review the program’s progress, suggest improvements, and offer strategic advice to the PhD Faculty Board, ensuring the program remains current and competitive internationally.
