Delivered study plan 2023/2024

The PhD Programme provided a structured three-year training pathway for researchers in translational oncology, precision medicine, and network medicine.

The training offer, covering the 39th (Year 1), 38th (Year 2), and 37th (Year 3) cycles, integrated disciplinary training in precision oncology, immunology, and network medicine with activities dedicated to the development of transferable and career skills. The programme included welcome and year-transition activities, seminars on topics such as the complexity of precision medicine, oncological risk factors, immuno-oncology, and major solid tumours, as well as lecture series delivered by visiting professors on frontier topics, including single-cell transcriptomics, spatial omics, and organoid models.

Methodological modules on the R programming language, biological network analysis, and database management were also organised, together with activities focused on network medicine in oncology and applied laboratories in network-based medicine. The programme was completed with career development initiatives (academic, private sector, and research centers) and regular meetings between faculty and PhD students for the presentation and discussion of research projects.
