ANNOUNCEMENT OF ELECTIONS FOR STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES ON THE DEPARTMENTAL COUNCIL OF ANCIENT SCIENCES
Pursuant to Article 9 of the Regulations of the Department of Ancient Sciences, elections are hereby announced for student representatives on the Department Council for the two-year period 2024-2026.
Student representation on the Department Council is set at a minimum of 15% of the total number of teachers and equivalent staff (12 representatives), rounded up to the nearest whole number.
The electorate and candidates consist of doctoral students, postgraduate students and students enrolled in master's degree programmes relevant to the Department.
The elections result in the appointment of the expected number of representatives if at least 10% of those eligible to vote participate; otherwise, the number of those elected is reduced in proportion to the number of actual voters.
All students enrolled in Master's degree programmes in Archaeology (LM-2), Philology, Literature and History of the Ancient World (LM-15), Cultural Heritage in the Near and Middle East, and in Africa (LM-2) and Mediterranean Archaeology (LM-2), the School of Specialisation in Archaeological Heritage, the Doctoral School in Archaeology, the PHD in Philology and History of the Ancient World, and the National Doctorate in Heritage Science are hereby convened.
The elections will take place on 4 November 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. online (instructions on how to vote will follow).
The lists of those eligible to vote will be published on the Department's website. Each voter will be entitled to two preferences.
Anyone interested in standing as a representative is requested to send their application to segreteriadidattica_dssaa@uniroma1.it by 28 October 2024. The names of the candidates will be published on the Department's website.
The elected representatives will then be convened for the election of student representatives to the Department Council.
