Fifty years after the death of John Bradford (1918-1975), author of the book Ancient Landscape (1957), one of the fundamental and best known texts in the field of aerial archaeology, the Conference will have as its main theme and guiding thread the scientific heritage of the English scholar, one of the pioneers and the greatest masters in the use of aerial images for archaeological aerotopography. The aim of this conference is also to offer a representative overview of the main research orientations and methodologies that animate the current Italian and international panorama of aerial archaeology.
