Singapore – Una città nella natura: seminario al Palazzo Esposizioni

05/03/2025

On March 6, 2025, at 6:30 PM, the event Singapore – A City in Nature will take place at Palazzo Esposizioni Roma, in the Auditorium Hall (Scalinata di Via Milano 9a). The event will feature San Ling, a mathematician and scientist, as well as the current rector of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Singapore, a small nation near the Equator, is renowned for its impressive economic development and is one of the most densely populated countries in the world. But is it really just an urban jungle where biodiversity is limited to structures of concrete and steel, or could the goal of becoming a City in Nature be more than just a paradox? In this talk, San Ling will take us on a journey to explore how Singapore is weaving nature into its urban fabric, revealing surprising strategies to promote biodiversity in a highly developed city-state.

The event is part of a series of discussions exploring themes related to biodiversity and its conservation, featuring expert insights in the context of the exhibition In Praise of Diversity.
