Educational goals and objectives

NETWORK ONCOLOGY AND PRECISION MEDICINE
Aims of PhD program “Network Oncology and Precision Medicine”
The PhD Program in "Network Oncology and Precision Medicine" offers a training course that fits into the new vision of modern oncology based on the personalization of treatments. Indeed, the goal is to give the best therapeutic option to each patient, based on the multiplicity of treatments and their possible sequences of administration (chemo-radio, target therapy, immunotherapy), modulating the therapeutic path during the progression of the disease. The PhD is addressed to students coming from master's degree programs both in the medical-biological and scientific-technological areas, motivated to enrich their skills with new knowledge of molecular oncology and computational analysis.

The main goal of the PhD in "Network Oncology and Precision Medicine" is to train a new kind of researcher in the medical field, an innovative and crucial figure for his role, characterized by the convergence of different skills in the context of the multidisciplinary team, that must redefine oncological problems to classify, diagnose, plan treatments and identify prevention paths within the oncological medicine network.
