The Academic Board of the PhD in Physics has defined the procedures for the selection tests for the 39th cycle competition.
1) Written test (3 hours duration)
- exercises of Mechanics and of Electromagnetism: the candidate will choose whether to carry out those in Mechanics or Electromagnetism.
- exercices of Quantum Mechanics and of Statistical Mechanics: the candidate will choose whether to carry out those of Quantum Mechanics or Statistical Mechanics.
The exercises will be simple and have the purpose of verifying the suitability of candidates for a PhD in Physics at Sapienza University of Rome.
Attached is a syllabus with the topics covered by the written test.
2) Assessment of qualifications (grade point average, complete curriculum, cover letters, motivation letter).
- There will be no oral exam
The written test will take place on Tuesday 27 June at 9:00 according to the call for PhD fellowships.
