A CITY IN THE FORM OF A PALACE. THE DUCAL PALACE OF URBINO AS A LABORATORY FOR CONTEMPORARY DESIGN.
Intensive design workshop held at ISIA (Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche) in Urbino from 20 to 25 June. 20 June Introductory lecture by Orazio Carpenzano on the theme of monumentality, followed by "rediscovered" lecture by Manfredo Tafuri on the Palace of Urbino and seminar activity. 21 June Lecture by Francesco Paolo Fiore followed by lecture by Andrea Grimaldi; afternoon Dialogue between Luigi Gallo, Director of the National Museum of the Marches and Luca Molinari. Followed by a visit to the Ducal Palace and seminar work. 22 and 23 Seminar work. 24 Lecture by Marco Filoni and seminar work. 25 June final presentation of workshop results in the presence of Director Luigi Gallo.

The workshop was held in two phases. The first phase with a series of preparatory lectures, which took place in Rome and then in Paris, on the theme of density and its urban implications and on the areas of intervention in the city of Paris, which was the destination of a specially organised trip.
