Recent Advances in the Mechanics and Mathematics of Materials - 4th International Meeting of Young Researchers

21-22/02/2024 in Room 17, Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering

The Workshop RAM3 brings together young and distinguished scientists working at the intersection between mechanics and mathematics, for a two day event in Rome. The main focus of the workshop is on solid mechanics and its applications to material modelling, structural theories and multiphysics coupling. The speakers are researchers who occupy a prominent position in European and international universities. During the workshop three keynote lectures will be delivered by prominent researchers to inspire the young attendees with novel research topics and new challenges. The lectures will be held by Antonio DeSimone (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa), Vikram Deshpande (University of Cambridge) and Michel Jabbour (École Polytechnique, Paris). The previous editions, held in 2017, 2019 and 2021, saw the participation of more than 150 researchers, PhD students and post-doctoral students. Thanks to the financial support of the DISG, Sapienza University and the National Group of Mathematical Physics, the workshop is free and open to everyone, including students of master degrees. By gathering together young scientists from all the world, the workshop intends to foster new ideas and promote new collaborations among the participants in a stimulating and informal setting.
