Journal club.
The journal club is an educational activity in which Ph.D. students meet periodically to discuss scientific articles of common interest or relevance to their field of study. The purpose of a journal club is to stimulate critical thinking, provide in-depth analysis and updates on research topics, and foster communication and collaboration among participants. A journal club can be organized in different ways, but in general, it involves one or more PhD students presenting an article chosen by them and illustrating its objectives, methods, results, and implications. The other PhD students can intervene with questions, comments, criticisms, or suggestions, trying to evaluate the quality and relevance of the article.
