Due to the nature of the PhD programme, the training programme is divided into three curricula in constant dialogue with each other and includes interdisciplinary elements, which are given concrete form in the annual “Semi di Sapienza” conference.Organised entirely by third-year students (39th cycle), from the 2025-2026 academic year 'Semi di Sapienza' will also involve students from the XXXIX, XL and XLI cycles of the PhD programmes in Philology and History of the Ancient World, Archaeology and History, Anthropology and Religions at Sapienza University of Rome, in the spirit of a marked transdisciplinary openness. The proposed theme – “Contaminations” – invites multiple interpretations and particularly fruitful scientific interaction.
The PHD seminar will be held on 4 and 5 June 2026 in Rome (Faculty of Arts, 3rd floor, Room XXII).
Interested PHD students are invited to submit their proposals for presentations lasting a maximum of 20 minutes. Proposals must be sent in .pdf format by 28 February 2026 to the email address semidisapienza2026@gmail.com
