PhD Student-led Seminars

As part of the activities promoted and managed by PhD students of the doctoral program in “School of Statistical Sciences,” seminars are organized and held by PhD students in the Department of Statistical Sciences.

The meetings are designed as an introduction to the world of academic seminars: the longer duration and accessible level of the presentations facilitate the understanding of even advanced concepts and their subsequent individual study.

The covered topics mainly concern statistics and probability, ranging from fundamental theoretical issues to applications in fields such as physics, economics, and machine learning.

The initiative represents an opportunity for students who wish to explore and discuss ideas at the heart of contemporary statistical and mathematical research. The invitation to participate is open to anyone who is potentially interested in one or more of the topics covered.
Seminars grant CFUs (
AAF activities) to Undergraduate and Master's students.
