Cycle XXXVIII
The Ph.D. students of the 38th cycle, in addition to the training courses of their competence, mainly attended the series of departmental seminars (see the list reported in “Seminars”). Moreover, some PhD students of the curriculum in Demography spent nine months abroad to attend classes at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research a Rostock (Germany) and at the European Doctoral School of Demography (EDSD) in Barcelona (Spain).
Furthermore, they actively participated in numerous conferences, where they presented the first results related to their future doctoral thesis, published in proceedings and/or scientific journals.

Cycle XXXVII
The PhD students of the 37th cycle, in addition to the specialized courses of their competence, mainly attended the series of departmental seminars (see the list reported in “Seminars”). Five students spent several months abroad for research related to their theses.
All PhD students in the Methodological Statistics curriculum participated in at least one of the two workshops organized by the Department of Statistical Sciences to promote the exchange of ideas between young researchers and students from different fields of study:

The PhD students of the 36th cycle also attended the series of departmental seminars (see the list reported in “Seminars”), in addition to advanced seminars or courses on the specific issues of their specific research topics. In addition, most of them (seven out of ten) presented their research work in the workshop organized by the Department of Statistical Sciences to promote the exchange of ideas between young researchers and PhD students from different fields of study: X Giornata del Dottorato (01/06/2023). Three PhD students spent long periods abroad for research related to their theses.
