The FAIR Principles, which set out guidelines for good data management practice, aim to make data FAIR: findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable.
"Data" in this context refers to all types of digital objects produced in research: research data in the strict sense, code, software, presentations, etc. Each letter in FAIR refers to a list of principles, 15 in all.

Using the FAIR Data Principles can accelerate the impact of your work by enabling more researchers to find and reuse your data. This can lead to increased collaboration with research and industry, and recognition of your data in other publications. It also benefits research communities, research infrastructures and research organisations.
