The event aims to reflect on residential models that can support the elderly population during the ageing process, as well as on the care of this demographic, with the objective of identifying effective and virtuous solutions and initiatives that span the architectural and technical fields as well as the medical and sociological domains.
Changes in the demographic and socio-economic composition of the Italian population compel us to adopt a new perspective on the communal dimension of living, interpersonal relationships, and the relationship between the “individual” and “collective” aspects of dwelling.
These shifts urge us, first and foremost, to rethink the configuration of our cities in order to ensure genuine inclusivity and effective access to urban spaces and services for all.
