ACCADEMIC YEAR 2024-25
FIRST-YEAR PhD CANDIDATES - 40th CYCLE The main activities are as follows: • participation in lectures, seminars and training initiatives included in the PhD educational program aimed at acquiring PhD training credits (CFU) • participation in post-graduate courses, seminars, national and international scientific conferences, workshops, organization of seminars • collaboration in research activities, in the organization of seminars or conferences, and in carrying out teaching activities congruent with the topics of individual studies (EA curriculum). In addition to these activities, the candidates have carried out individual studies on their selected topic concerning recent scientific debate, research methods and tools. The main results have been presented at international conferences and/or published in scientific journals. About the annual evaluation of each PhD student, a presentation of the thesis advancements, along with the first proposal on the research topic, to the teaching board has been carried out, assessed and approved.

SECOND-YEAR PhD CANDIDATES – 39th CYCLE The main activities are as follows: • active participation in lectures, seminars and training initiatives included in the PhD educational program aimed at acquiring PhD training credits (CFU) • participation in post-graduate courses, seminars, national and international scientific conferences, workshops, organisation of exhibitions and public initiatives • development of individual study and archival research on their main topic, helpful in developing candidates’ thesis proposal and analysing the testing bed and case studies • organisation of seminars and symposia with PhD faculty. In addition to these activities, the candidates have carried out individual studies and archival research on their main topic, which is helpful for further developing their thesis proposal and analysing the testing bed and case studies. The main results have been presented at international conferences and/or published in scientific journals. Where applicable, specific fieldwork has been developed. By the end of October 2025, each PhD student submitted and presented the thesis advancements to the teaching board. They all have been admitted to the next academic year.
