Services and equipment for PhD students

This section outlines the main services and facilities available to doctoral students in the Department of Political Science and the Department of Economics and Law.
 
Spaces and workstations
At the Department of Political Science there are 3 rooms and 18 workstations; at the Department of Economics and Law there are 4 rooms with 14 workstations, shared with the other researchers.
 
Specialist hardware and software equipment
In the workstations available to PhD students there are: a) in the Department of Political Science 8 PCs and two printers; b) in the Department of Economics and Law 12 PCs and 3 printers. Laptops can also be used at the workstations provided. In addition, there is a multimedia room in the Faculty of Political Science, Sociology and Communication (16 workstations).
 
Libraries
The resources of the library in Political Science, as the main library of the PhD programme, with two reading rooms, are available to doctoral students, in addition to the one in Economics.

Reserved reading places in the library
In the Economics Faculty library 8 seats are reserved for doctoral students, 4 out of which are equipped with PCs and one with a laptop connection.

Journal subscriptions
The Political Science library boasts a number of useful subscriptions to specialist journals, in addition to the Economics and Law library. In addition, electronic databases and specialised electronic journals of the following publishers are available to doctoral students through SBS: il Mulino, Giuffré, Dalloz revue, Giappichelli, Oxford University Press, SAGE, Springer, Wiley and Wolters Kluwer Italia.
 
Bibliographic materials
The funds available to the doctoral programme are also used to purchase bibliographical material requested by doctoral students. The books acquired in this way are allocated to the Political Science library.
