The third volume of the series "Pathways in Asian and African Civilisations: quaderni di studi dottorali alla Sapienza" has been published in Open access with Sapienza Università Editrice in the series Ricerche sull'Oriente. Publication in Open access responds to the Open science objectives pursued by the European Union to increase the circulation of knowledge and the dissemination of knowledge. The first volume (2021) collects essays by PhD students of the 33rd and 32nd cycles, together with essays by PhD students of the 34th cycle. The second volume, released in January 2023, contains essays by ten PhD students from cycles 36 and 35. Dedicated to the 34th, 36th and 37th cycles, this third tome describes a variegated thematic and disciplinary sphere including the iconography and architecture of central-southern India as vehicles of representation of sovereignty and dominant culture, literature as a place of confrontation between inner tensions and social dynamics in China, Japan and Turkey in the modern and contemporary period, and linguistics as part of an interdisciplinary perspective aimed at the study of Tunisian society and dyslexia in the Sino-Saxon context.
