This is the second volume of a series of doctoral studies in Asian and African Studies released by Sapienza University Press in Open access, in compliance with the Open science objectives pursued by the European Union to increase the circulation and dissemination of knowledge. The first volume, published in December 2021, collects essays by young scholars of the 33rd and 32nd cycles, together with essays by doctoral students of the 34th cycle. The second volume, released in January 2023, contains ten essays by doctoral students of the 35th and 36th cycles.
