The first will be dedicated to the use of new technologies and their application to aid research, highlighting their potential and any problems. The second session will focus on the methodological aspects that distinguish the works with a marked interdisciplinary character. The third session will address the issue of scientific and technological transfer of academic research in the professional field. At the end of the day there will be a round table focused on the topic of the possible interaction between the academic and professional world, with particular reference to the fields of application with which the profiles trained within the doctorate will be able to deal with. The publication of the proceedings of the study day is planned, in order to bring to the attention of the scientific community the methods, materials and results of the research carried out in recent years by the PhD students of the Department of History, Design and Restoration of Architecture.

In 2010, from the union of the Departments of History of Architecture, Restoration and Conservation of Architectural Heritage, and of Survey, Analysis and Design of the Environment and of Architecture, the Department of History, Design and Restoration of Architecture which, thanks to this fusion, stands out for welcoming the skills of three essential figures in the field of historical-architectural research.
Despite the conserved subdivision into the sections of the three scientific-disciplinary sectors, the PhD students of the Department find themselves frequenting an interdisciplinary environment and dealing with colleagues with complementary profiles.

The study day scheduled, ten years after the creation of the "new" Department, is intended to be a moment of meeting and comparison between the three sections of the doctorate: a platform for exchanging methods and experiences on recent research in History, Architectural Design and Restoration.
Doctoral students of all cycles are therefore invited to submit a contribution - whether it is their doctoral research or the contribution within other research - focused on methodological and innovative aspects.
