Competenze richieste: Trattamento della biomassa su scala di laboratorio, in batch; Proofency nella valutazione del ciclo di vita; Creazione di idonei inventari LCA; Analisi e interpretazione degli impatti ambientali secondo l'LCA; Analisi della qualità dell'acqua residua (BOD5, COD, TOC, NO3, PO4....) e sua valutazione secondo le normative nazionali. Valutazione di diversi processi in termini di fattibilità tecnica; Messa a punto di sistemi pilota e loro valutazione in termini di performance; Capacità di contribuire a un migliore utilizzo e uso razionale delle risorse naturali, rinnovabili e non rinnovabili, mantenendo sempre un atteggiamento di impegno nei confronti dei problemi sociali. Capacità nel lavoro interdisciplinare e nella discussione accademica.

Required skills: Treatment of biomass at a lab scale, in batch mode; Proofency in life cycle assessment; Creation of suitable LCA inventories; Analysis and interpretation of environmental impacts according to LCA; Analysis of residual water quality (BOD5, COD, TOC, NO3, PO4....) and its evaluation according to National regulations. Evaluation of different processes in terms of technical feasibility; Set up pilot systems and their evaluation in terms of performance; Ability to contribute to a better use and rational use of natural, renewable and non-renewable resources, always maintaining an attitude of commitment to social problems. Ability in interdisciplinary work and academic discussion.

Qualifications assessment The Evaluation Board will evaluate the curriculum of studies submitted, with particular reference to: - Graduation Vote (or average of examinations votes for candidates who have not yet got the title), normalized to the University average of votes; - Duration of the course of study of the candidate; - Experiences abroad (including ERASMUS); - Past research experiences (research grants or fellowship)- Participation to post-graduate course or stage- Other (awards, second degree); - Motivational letter; - Research project

Oral interview The oral test (interview) will deal with: - Discussion on the research project, including future developments; - Short discussion on the research conducted for the purpose of the thesis for the Master's degree and future development; - Discussion on the subject of the Call
