Cinema e territorio. Incontro con Daniele Vicari

May 14th 2026

Daniele Vicari, a film director and screenwriter, has developed a body of work that intertwines individual experience with social transformations, tracing their outcomes within the context of everyday life and the urban environment. In his films — including Il mio paese (2006), La nave dolce (2012), L'orizzonte degli eventi (2005), Orlando (2022), Fela, il mio dio vivente (2023) e Diaz - Don't Clean Up This Blood (2012) — Vicari explores the relationship between individuals, territory and power, portraying changes in Italian society through a blend of fiction and documentary realism.

The seminar, part of the “CINEMA E TERRITORIO” series, will provide an opportunity to engage with the director on these themes: the relationship between audiovisual languages and space, the interplay between individual experience and social conflict, and the political dimension embedded in every form of representation.
