The PhD in Translational Medicine and Oncology aims to train researchers capable of operating in basic and clinical experimental research, in the translational and oncology fields, through appropriate knowledge and tools useful for the development of application methodologies and procedures. The scientific and educational program of the course offers selections of theoretical-practical paths based on diagnostic and therapeutic strategies ranging from the laboratory to the patient's bedside.
The training course includes educational activities, seminars, journal clubs, theoretical and practical lessons from bench to bed. The involvement of the PhD student in the various phases of the scientific activity and the gradual inclusion leads him to manage all aspects of the research. During the Doctorate, students have the opportunity to go abroad to carry out research activities at foreign locations under co-supervision.
The doctoral student is involved in activities for up to a maximum of forty hours per year to complete the training course in view of a possible university continuation. The verification of the activity carried out is monitored through the visualization of the progress of the research with the Tutors and the analysis of the data through the use of statistical analyses.
