Quaderni di Villa Mirafiori

For several years now, the PhD programme has been publishing a series of annual volumes featuring contributions from PhD students, lecturers and seminar speakers, and is open to international scholars.

The series offers PhD students a critical space for the dissemination and discussion of their research, as well as providing evidence of some of the teaching and seminar activities that animate the PhD programme. It is above all the spirit of these activities, where teaching, dialogue and free research come together, that the series aims to document.

Call volume 4

The volume will be divided into three sections:- a monographic section dedicated to the topic “Philosophy and war: knowledge, conflicts, responsibility”, for which you will find attached a presentation that was developed and formulated by PhD students and discussed and refined with us;
- a “miscellaneous” section, open to contributions on any philosophical and historical-philosophical topic;
- a section of reviews.
As was the case last year, we would like to remind you that, in addition to doctoral students and members of the Teaching Board, all external speakers who have been invited and have participated in the seminar and teaching activities of the Doctorate programme for the academic year 2025-2026 are also invited to contribute.

Deadlines:
- by 15 February 2026, send an email to the PhD programme (dottorato.filosofia@uniroma1.it) with a file containing the title and abstract of the contribution you intend to submit (max. 2000 characters, all inclusive);
- by 30 June 2026, submit the complete contributions (approximately 30,000 characters, all inclusive).

All complete contributions received will be evaluated through anonymous peer review by two reviewers.
