The Curriculum in Information and Communication Engineering aims at educating engineers and researchers towards the development of innovative methodologies in the fields of information transmission, coding, signal processing, and networking. The main research areas of this curriculum are: wired and wireless communication and transmission systems; signal processing techniques and methodologies; multimedia technologies and processing of multimedia signals; networking technologies, services and applications. More specifically, within the framework of the above mentioned areas, the main research lines are:
a) energy saving in telecommunication networks;
b) systems for ultra wideband communications;
c) new generation Telecommunication networks;
d) computational intelligence;
e) cognitive radio;
f) sensor and vehicular networks;
g) new models for personal data handling.
