Sapienza PhD in ICT activities take place in the DIET Department, where one can find the office of most of the Faculty members of the PhD board.

How to reach us

Reaching the location

The DIET Department is located within the premises of the School of Engineering of Sapienza University of Rome, in the former convent of San Pietro in Vincoli, a few steps away from the Colosseo. The School is very well served by public transportation, as the central Termini railway station is only 1 km away. From the Termini station, you can reach the School by subway: take a B or B1 train towards Laurentina and drop off at either Colosseo or Cavour stops, both a few hundred meters from the entrance of the School of Engineering.

• If you stop at Cavour station, the easiest way to arrive at School is from the rear entrance on Via delle Sette Sale. From the subway station, just take the stairs across the street in Via del Monte Polacco, and then turn left: the entrance is the last gate on the right before reaching the public gardens, at civic 23.
• If you stop at Colosseo station, follow the signs towards the “Largo Agnesi” exit point. Once you are out of the station cross the pedestrian bridge, enjoy the view, and take Via della Polveriera, that will lead you to Via Eudossiana where the main entrance of the School is.

The DIET Department

The Department occupies the first four floors of the so-called “bank” building, and is easily reached from the rear entrance in Via delle Sette Sale; after entering the gate, walk to the underpass below the building in front of you, and take the entrance to the right (you will see the bank agency when you are just inside the building). Coming from the main entrance in Via Eudossiana, cross the cloister in front of you, and take the stairs on the opposite side. Go down and turn left: you will find the bank building, the underpass, and the entrance on your left.
