The courses will be held by the professors of the Doctoral Board, by their collaborators, by other professors of Sapienza or by other highly qualified Professors authorized by the Doctoral Board. The seminars will be held by both Italian and foreign speakers. The topic of the courses could undergo changes while maintaining the number of credits unchanged.

Method of choosing the subject of the thesis

Students will be able to choose the subject of the Thesis within all the activities of the Doctorate in agreement with the Coordinator and the Curricula Managers

Admission to the second year

In order to evaluate admission to the next year, PhD students will be required to present the results of their work in the month of October in the presence of the members of the Doctoral Board through an oral presentation accompanied by a written report.

Method of preparation of the thesis

The candidate will carry out a continuous experimental research activity together with an in-depth study of the literature on the specific topic of the thesis. The student will be constantly followed and guided in his activities by the Tutor assigned by the Doctoral Board

Admission to the third year

In order to evaluate admission to the next year, PhD students will be required to present the results of their work in the month of October in the presence of the members of the Doctoral Board through an oral presentation accompanied by a written report.

Method of admission to the final examination

Admission to the final exam is subject to the delivery of the thesis to external evaluators, approved by the Doctoral Board. The external reviewers will have to formalize their evaluation to allow or deny admission to the final exam

Final examination

The final exam will consist in the presentation and discussion of the thesis work, which will be evaluated by a commission in accordance with the current regulations.
