Successful Participation in RRIstart Hackathon Fosters Sustainable Startup Development

26/02/2024

We're proud to announce our active participation in the RRIstart Hackathon, an event fostering sustainable innovation through responsible research and innovation (RRI) practices, hosted by Sapienza Università di Roma in collaboration with Lazio Innova. Held from February 21 to 23, 2024, at Saperi&Co, the hackathon challenged participants to incorporate RRI principles into startup ideas, aiming to make a substantial impact in various sectors.

Our PhD team engaged in the competition in two groups, with guidance from our mentor, Professor Guido Gentile. Participants included Salar Salehi, Ken Koshy Varghese, Lory Bresciani, Arif Huseynov, Seyed Hassan Hosseini, and Nicola Ippolito, who brought diverse skills and perspectives to the table.

The event highlighted the importance of integrating RRI into the startup ecosystem, proposing an innovative model tailored for startups. This approach emphasizes sustainability and responsibility from the outset, aligning with RRIstart's objective to demonstrate RRI's value in STEM entrepreneurship and impact investment.

Our participation underscores our commitment to contributing to sustainable development and innovation, embracing the principles of responsible research to guide our future projects.
