The first experience corresponds with a seminar with in depth technical-methodologic studies aimed at setting up and developing a confrontation between PhD candidates on the topic proposed by the PhD “Systemic and Complexity in Architecture”.
The seminar’s objective is to address the in-depth technical-methodologic studies aimed at setting up and developing a confrontation between PhD candidates on the topic “Systemic and Complexity in Architecture”. Such event takes place in the Department, under the guidance of the PhD Coordinator, the curricula coordinators, and the members of the PhD Board who wish to participate, without curricula distinction and with potential involvement of external staff. The above mentioned activities concern the improvement of specialized training in terms of methodologic-disciplinary aspects, and are aimed at developing a theoretical-methodologic research attitude. Therefore such activities are shared by all the PhD candidates of the cycle, who will be invited and stimulated to work together and interact transversally and between different curricula.
In terms of results, the objective is to guide the candidates towards a critical selection of the most substantial scientific texts proposed by the PhD, but also by the candidates themselves during the different research phases (especially the first phase).
