At the lecture will participate Tommaso Le Pera, Giacomo Daniele Fragapane, Paola Bertolone, on the basis of the book by Paola Bertolone, Tommaso Le Pera. Un archivio fotografico per il teatro, Artemide, Roma 2021.
Some topics to be discussed:
- Tommaso Le Pera’s journey inside Italian Theatre from the Sixties till nowadays (recollections of different periods, events, actors, directors in relationship to theatre photography)
- features of theatre photography in comparison to the photographic medium
- Tommaso Le Pera’s photos archive: its project and structure (an archive with millions of shots, one of the widest in the entire world)
- theatre photography between document and reactivation
