The workshop is part of the PRIN (Research Project of National Interest) 'ATLas - Atlante delle Televisioni Locali.' It aims at exploring possible historiographical methods, perspectives, and research tools to expand the analysis of the political, socio-economic, and cultural context in which Italy's numerous private television networks originated, as well as their contribution to broader transformations of the country's consumer culture in the transition from the 1970s to the collapse of the First Republic in the early 1990s.
