This presentation reports findings from a study of 15 social housing developments in Costa
Rica, evaluating resident experiences. The research aimed to identify how physical-spatial
characteristics of buildings and neighborhoods, alongside psychosocial variables, including
place attachment and perceived discrimination, contribute to residential satisfaction.
Results highlight the interplay between these factors in shaping the lived experience of
social housing residents.
