Educational goals and objectives

PHD PROGRAM IN BEHAVIORAL NEUROSCIENCE
The main objective is the training of scholars in the neuroscience field with specific methodological skills, but with an interdisciplinary theoretical perspective. The doctorate is divided into 4 curricula (Psychobiology and Psychopharmacology; Behavioral Neurophysiology; Cognitive Neuroscience; Neuropsychology) that allow the acquisition of specific theoretical-methodological skills, and a series of inter-curricular activities that promote interdisciplinarity.
The PhD scholarship object of present competition is aimed at training a scholar capable of developing diagnosis and rehabilitation protocols for Cognitive and Behavioral Disorders (CoBeDis) occurring in individuals who suffered cardiovascular accidents or cardiac surgery, which facilitate CoBeDis resolution, reducing the current social costs. The tools developed during the PhD will be usable both in presence and on the telematic platform.

Admission Procedure

Qualifications assessment The Examination Board will assign 30/90 admission point scores (APS) based on the document received and on the evaluation grid published on the web pages of the PhD program. Only candidates with at least 10/30 APS will be admitted to the written test. The results of the preliminary evaluation will be published on the web pages of the PhD program.

Written examination The written test consists in commenting on a scientific article, provided by the Commission during the examination, on a topic specific to the curriculum indicated by the candidate in the application.
The test is passed with a minimum score of 16 out of 30 points

Oral interview The oral exam will focus on the theoretical and methodological foundations of the Neuroscience of Behavior with particular reference to the research topic indicated by the candidate in the application.
