The European Ph.D. in Socio-Economic and Statistical Studies (Sess.EuroPhD) is an international, interdisciplinary graduate program in which a Consortium of seven European universities cooperate to provide graduate students from all over the world with the possibility of training and doing high-level research in the fields of Economics, Political Science, and Statistics.
The Consortium includes eight partner universities. Five of them belong to EU countries (Humboldt-Universitaet zu Berlin, Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest, Masaryk University Brno, Sapienza University of Rome, and the University of Tampere). Two universities belong to non-EU countries (the University of Southampton and the University of Haifa).
Our aim is to train researchers capable of:
- Mastering the scholarly literature and the related research methods in their field of interest.
- Analyzing data with the most rigorous, advanced, and innovative econometrics techniques.
- Participating in the international scientific debate, through the development and presentation of original, innovative, and rigorous research, and its publication in reputable academic journals.
- Debating with the international scientific community in their field, through the presentation of their work at international seminars, workshops, and conferences.
All the Eur SESS teaching activities are held in English. |
