- L’attività formativa del 1° e 2° anno ha riguardato la frequenza di corsi sui temi propri dei settori scientifici di Scienze delle Costruzioni, Tecnica delle Costruzioni e Geotecnica. Tali corsi, tenuti in italiano e/o inglese, da docenti di università Italiane e Internazionali (USA, Cina, Europa) sono diventati un punto di riferimento per altri dottorati nell’ambito nazionale e talvolta internazionale.
- La ricerca svolta dai dottorandi è strettamente affine a quella svolta nel Dipartimento ed è testimoniata dalla ricca produzione scientifica, pubblicata su riviste scientifiche contenute nelle banche dati internazionali “Scopus” e “Wos”, negli Atti di congressi italiani e internazionali e in capitoli di libri.
- Corso innovativo in “Information literacy skills, research strategies and sharing your findings” (2 CF).
- Per lo svolgimento della tesi, grazie ai contatti dei membri del Collegio, i dottorandi hanno avuto la possibilità di svolgere il loro soggiorno all’estero presso prestigiose università quali l’University of Christchurch (New Zealand), University of Michigan, University of Illinois, MIT (USA), Nanjing Tech University (China), IFSTTAR Nantes (France). E' stata prevista altresì la frequenza a corsi di particolare interesse in Italia e all'estero.
