TRAINING ACTIVITIES-COURSES:https://phd.uniroma1.it/web/SEMINARS-STRUCTURAL-AND-GEOTECHNICAL-ENGINEERING_nH3515_EN.aspx (SEMINARS item in the drop-down menu on the left)

The training activities of the 1st and 2nd year provided for the attendance of courses on topics related to the scientific sectors of Solids and Structural Mechanics, Structural Engineering and Geotechnics. These courses, taught in Italian and / or English, by teachers of Italian and international universities (USA, China, Europe) have become a point of reference for other doctorates in the national and sometimes international context.
- The research carried out by the doctoral students is closely related to that carried out in the Department and is testified by the rich scientific production, published in scientific journals contained in the international databases "Scopus" and "Wos", in the Proceedings of Italian and international conferences and in chapters of books.
- Innovative course in "Information literacy skills, research strategies and sharing your findings" (2 CF).
- For the development of the thesis, thanks to the contacts of the members of the College, the doctoral students had the opportunity to carry out their stay abroad at prestigious universities such as the University of Christchurch (New Zealand), University of Michigan, University of Illinois, MIT (USA), Nanjing Tech University (China), IFSTTAR Nantes (France). They could also attend courses of particular interest in Italy and abroad.
