Federica Fratagnoli is associate professor of dance at the Université Côte d’Azur (Nice), and member of the aCD (http://www.chercheurs-en-danse.com/fr). Trained in various body practices, she considers movement as a source of knowledge production, capable of feeding theoretical analysis and generating new observation and investigation protocols. Combining specific methodologies for movement analysis and micro-phenomenology techniques, she questions the phenomena of circulation of gesture and the explication of the "pre-reflexive" aspects of lived experience, conceived as a practice of exploration. She co-edited with Mahalia Lassibille the collective work “Danser contemporain. Gestes croisés d'Afrique et d'Asie du Sud” (Deuxième Epoque, 2018).
