19 January 2023: Introduction to R
The first part of the course introduces the basics of R programming language. The student will understand how to use R studio, managing the different data types and data structures. This is an introductory course to get started with the R programming language.

20 January 2023: Bibliometric analysis in R
This section overviews the main characteristics of quantitative bibliometric analysis, starting from the word co-occurrence analysis with R, extracting and visualizing semantic links between words. Special emphasis is given to the “bibliometrix” package (https://www.bibliometrix.org/vignettes/Introduction_to_bibliometrix.html) , an extremely useful R tool for quantitative research in bibliometrics and scientometrics. The course will explore the main functions of the package, from data importing to bibliometric analysis.
