Instructions

The oral examination will be preferably held online. If preferred, the candidate can opt for an examination in-presence. In that case, please send an email with this request to the Chair of the PhD Studies, Prof. Alessandro Mei. The meeting link will be communicated in due time. For a better outcome of the online examination we recommend each candidate, if possible, to have a tablet for digital writing and to be alone in a silent and comfortable place. The aim of the exam is to verify each candidate's CS basic knowledge and her/his attitude to CS research. During the exam each candidate will be queried about:
a) the reasons motivating her/him to develop research activities in the program of the PhD in Computer Science in Sapienza University, the methods, the results and the objectives planned.
b) a question in a CS area related to the research proposal;
c) potentially other questions aimed at deepening the evaluation.

Should the language of the exam to be Italian, the candidate will be asked to read a short technical English text and translate it in Italian
