Thanks to the coordinated horizontal / vertical articulation, which holds together fundamental research in AI with research on challenges of the areas of specialization enhanced by AI, the PhD-AI.it will train researchers, innovators and professionals, both with specializations in the top issues of Artificial Intelligence and in important application sectors, but which while maintaining an integrated and "complex" vision of the ecosystem of AI technologies and solutions, they are in able to face challenges with a systemic and multi-disciplinary approach.
All the main observers, both public and industrial, especially at European level, report a strong shortage of "AI talent", AI specialists who are able to innovate both at the level of AI technologies and the adoption of these in specific areas.
As regards the thematic area of security and Cybersecurity to which this PhD explicitly refers, the demand for specialist skills is equally significant.
The launch of the National Doctorate in Artificial Intelligence aims to fill this lack of specialists especially in reference to the labor market in Italy.
