Our former PhD student and research fellow, now a post-doc at KU Leuven, Giulia Marras, has won the SIMP 2025 Doctoral Thesis Award.
The doctoral thesis award is SIMP's recognition of the three best and most innovative doctoral theses conducted on topics pertaining to SIMP by its junior members.
The subject areas covered by the doctoral theses are identified from Mineralogy, Petrography, Geochemistry, Volcanology, and Applications to the Environment and Cultural Heritage.
One can apply for the award within two years of obtaining the PhD.
The award consists of a grant awarded to the winners to present their research at an international conference.
