This fourth volume (like the third, currently in preparation) will also be divided into three sections:
a monographic section dedicated to the topic “Philosophy and war: knowledge, conflicts, responsibility”, a presentation of which is attached. This presentation was developed and formulated by the doctoral students and discussed and refined with us;
a “miscellaneous” section, open to contributions on any philosophical and historical-philosophical topic;
a section of reviews.
As was the case last year, in addition to doctoral students and members of the teaching staff, all external speakers who were invited and participated in the seminar and teaching activities of the Doctorate programme during the 2025-2026 academic year are invited to contribute.
Deadlines:
by 15 February 2026, send an email to the PhD programme (dottorato.filosofia@uniroma1.it) with a file containing the title and abstract of the contribution you intend to submit (max. 2000 characters, all inclusive);
by 30 June 2026, submit the complete contributions (approximately 30,000 characters, all inclusive).
All complete contributions received will be evaluated through anonymous peer review by two reviewers.
The publication of a review for first-year doctoral students and an article for second-year doctoral students is one of the requirements of the doctoral programme. Regardless of whether these publications appear in the Quaderni, all first- and second-year doctoral students must fulfil this requirement.
It is therefore understood that the requirement is considered to have been fulfilled if, during the first two years, the doctoral student has published a review and an article or two articles.
