The training plan includes a frontal teaching offer common to all enrolled doctoral students and a specific offer for the different curricula. Doctoral students enrolled in the first year are required to attend at least 60 hours of teaching provided in the training offer (30 for common teaching courses; 30 for curricular teaching courses).

Method of choosing the subject of the thesis

The topic of the thesis is normally the one proposed as a research project for admission to the Doctorate; it can be modified on the basis of the doctoral student's interaction with the tutors, with approval by the Board.

Admission to the second year

Admission to the following year is decided by the Doctorate Teaching Committee every year in October, on the basis (a) of the positive evaluation by the tutors of at least one scientific work of publishable level, presented by the doctoral students, possibly on a topic that prepare the drafting of the thesis and (b) the doctoral students' report on the progress of their research work.
