The seminar will retrace some of the phases in the textual history of the Helvetic subject, from 18th-century attestations, and Schiller, to Rossini's opera. Of the latter, some dramaturgical aspects will be highlighted, placing them in the various temporal phases in which they manifested themselves and thus moving from the coeval French reception to the late Italian reception.
