Ecocinema, Italy: audiovisual goes green

The meeting will be held on May 16, 2022, in Aula Levi della Vida at 9 am.

16/05/2022 9 am, Aula Levi

As part of the increasingly urgent reflection on the issues of ecological sustainability - which is one of the priorities of the European Programming 2021-2027 and the EU Next Generation Strategy - SARAS Department has launched research projects, also in collaboration with industry and with the audiovisual institutions, aimed at understanding the state of the art of the initiatives already underway in this sector. The University thus proposes itself as a place of meeting and exchange between the various souls of the audiovisual sector, with the dual aim of extending awareness of the green issues to the entire academic community and of offering itself as a privileged place for the analysis of processes in progress.
The meeting is a first opportunity to compare the reflection already started by American and Italian universities on eco-sustainability, the national public policies relating to the implementation of green procedures in the audiovisual sector and the testimony of industry professionals that have faced green protocols during the processing of their works in last years.
At 12.15, at the end of the meeting, the documentary "Every place is a mine", by Simone Corallini and Giuseppe Cederna, will be screened in the presence of the director.
