Research: The theater of power. A ceremonial language for the new empire of Diocletian
I graduated with honors from Pisa University with a Master’s degree in Classical Philology and Ancient History; I earned a Second Level Master’s Degree in Ancient History and Classical Philology with honors at Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. I am currently in the third year of my PhD at La Sapienza University (Rome) and I am studying the reform of the court ceremonial which was supposedly carried out by Diocletian. My research interests focus on Roman history (especially III – IV century AD), classical archaeology and political ideology in late antiquity.
