Research: The theater of power: a ceremonial language for the new empire of Diocletian

Samuele Cialdi is currently a Phd student in Roman History at Università La Sapienza.
In 2017/2018 he obtained a Certificate of Secondary Education (100/100) at Liceo Classico Niccolo Forteguerri.
In 2020/2021 he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in ancient literature with honors (Laurea Triennale in Lettere con curriculum antico, 110 e lode). The dissertation was written under the supervision of professor Andrea Raggi and aimed to analyse the evolution of the Roman Army during the III century crisis.
In 2022/2023 he obtained a Master's Degree in Philology and Ancient History with honors at the same university (Laurea Magistrale in Filologia e Storia dell'Antichità, 110 e lode). The dissertation aimed to reconstruct Diocletian's rise to power and was written under the supervision of professor Andrea Raggi.
He attended "Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa" and will earn a "Diploma di Licenza" (II level Master's degree) in Philology and Ancient History.
